Outpost offers three self-serve subscription plans — Space Station, Voyager, and Luna — plus two service-led plans, Terraform and Enterprise, for publications that want hands-on help. Self-serve plans are priced based on your total subscriber count (free + paid members combined).

Plans

Space Station

The starter plan. Includes the core Outpost features: autoresponder, CTAs, metered paywalls, email campaigns, analytics, and integrations.

Voyager

Adds advanced features: Tip Jar, gift subscriptions, group subscriptions, advanced spam filtering, Contextly recommendations, and more.

Luna

The full Outpost experience. Includes everything in Voyager plus the Theme Connect Wizard for deep Ghost theme integration and additional premium features.

Service-led plans

Terraform

Outpost builds your site for you and provides ongoing design, support, and technical help. For publications that want a partner handling the membership and growth side of the business alongside them.

Enterprise

Custom builds for large or unusual publications — bespoke development, integrations, and tooling beyond the self-serve plans.

Pricing

Outpost bills based on your total subscriber count — both free and paid members combined. Pricing is organized into subscriber bands, with monthly and yearly billing options available. For current pricing, visit the Outpost pricing page.
Yearly billing saves approximately 17% compared to paying monthly.

How subscriber band billing works

Your plan price is determined by your total number of subscribers (free + paid). When your subscriber count grows past your current band:
  1. Outpost sends you an email notifying you that you’ll be moved to the next band
  2. Your plan is upgraded to the next subscriber band
  3. When possible, the price change is prorated so you only pay the difference for the remainder of your billing period
You don’t need to take any action — band upgrades happen automatically. You’ll always receive advance notice before your billing changes.
